This is an "extra good" video Bogie. It discusses many things pertaining to tee work that hasn't been talked about before, thanks.

Great info! I notice Ryan is not using the exaggerated upper cut that is encouraged in previous hitting videos. That is a good thing IMO.

We promote a level to slightly up swing plane with a straight line a to b..bathead path..never an uppercut. That is what we see in the majority of pro swings. Sometimes you see pro hitters attack a chest high pitch but still the bat path is on a straight line just more of an up angle. We view an upper cut as a golfing swing and its a flaw that is often addressed in the show, not promoted. That said, Harvey has one of the most level swings of any of the pros...pretty amazing skill set to keep from missing the bottom of the ball too much for pop flys.

But Bogie, you've been to Woodlawn and watched Ryan. His "pop-ups" go 325/350 feet! LOL

Thanks.
Nice to see a kid with so much natural ability still working hard at what he does so well.
Being a first round draft pick out of high school makes you part of a very select group.
An inspiration to young and old, alike.
Being older, shorter, weaker, slower will probably never change for me but I can worker harder ...maybe smarter.
Happy new year folks

Another great video Boggy. What Ryan shows in the video is excellent information. I myself have never really worked with a tee. I guess be cause I was always hitting. Even in the winter time when I was younger we would hit at some place that had a batting cage. I am starting to work with the tee just to enhance my eye contact. You have to be right on when hitting off of the tee. He does an excellent job...
