| Dec. 8, 2017 Marv19 Men's 60 498 posts | Results of the SCSSA 7th annual Toys for Kids Tournament December 2-3 BLD Perris CA Before I start I want to thank all the people involved in putting on this tournament. My staff... Tom, Rodney and all the umpires. My two granddaughters that helped out both days. All of are a much needed addition to this organization. I couldn't do this tournament without you. You are to be congratulated at every level. We had 38 teams on 6 fields for two days. That computed to 95 games. (and a very late night on Saturday) It would be a logistical nightmare for one individual. Thank you, all of you. In the end the enormous generosity of our senior guys donated over 500 toys for the United Way of Hemet Valley. There are not enough words to covey my gratitude to you guys. You are the very best! Because of you a lot of underprivileged boys and girls will have a much brighter Christmas again this year. Merry Christmas to all of you and your family. I spoke with your granddaughters a bit while they were circulating the petition. They worked hard all weekend, as did the entire staff. Thanks again Marv |
