Why would you make a three team tournament have a championship game start sunday at 1:00 or 2:30. I have the last flight out of Denver at 4:32. You would think somebody would know east coast teams or Mideast teams are limited on flight times. It will be real nice if we make that game and have to forfeit.

We DO have a 60-team tournament this coming weekend in Aurora, but NOT a 3-team event ... All 60 teams are sharing fields at the Aurora Sports Complex outside of Denver ... You would also think somebody would know to notify the SSUSA scheduling department about this issue before the schedules are generated and posted ... Two teams did so, and got their desired early-out times on Sunday ...

Yes I know there are 60 teams in Aurora. Three team division tournament, Dave. 3 out of state teams with 2 for sure flying might be thought of by a committee. Sorry my question offended you. It's ok Dave.

I agree. Last year we were able to play our championship game and get to the airport early enough where it wasn't a rush. I have a 5:45pm flight that I could miss because of the late times.

For at least 10± years, I have honored all late (or occasionally early) start requests, or any other accommodations such as sharing players between teams in separate age groups, so long as the request was made before the schedules were drafted and published ... That's not just limited to flight arrangements on Championship Day ... There have been requests based on long drive times, too ... Our advice remains the same: Please make any such requests in a timely manner rather than (unreasonably) relying on me to know every airline schedule originating from the tournament host location ... Thanks!
