Dudley bat question
Is there any difference between the 2016 and 2017 Dudley Lightning balanced other than the 2016 is black and gold and the 2017 is blue and green? Is the construction the same?

Gary, I don't know about the construction. I have one of each (27 oz on the gold and 26 oz on the green) . For me they are basically the same. Major difference is the approx $42 you'll save getting the 2016. By the way the 2017 is black and green as compared to the end load which is blue and orange.

Better grip and knob on the 2017! Performance is similar. The 1.0 version is sold out at Dudley. The 2017 2.0 is moving quickly. New 3.0 LiFT version will be out next month. Need a source?

Ah...new dudley 2018 bat has same grip technology as previous years...what I think the difference is the thickness of material, hence no need to break in, compare to the OG that needs some break in for full impact. I predict that the 2018 dudley will crack earlier than the previous years models...IMO

The new Dudley is the same as the first two models I have been told. I have also been told by the fly on the crapper wall that the Dudley and Adidas all came down the same shoot... I could be wrong for sure because I don't follow the bats too much. I am willing to bet that the bats are made by the same guy...

If you have questions about any of the 3 Dudley bats or how to obtain any of them you can reach out when convenient. I have worked on and evaluated all 3 along with the Adidas and other brands. Being a bat geek has its rewards.....🤔

Sorry to add to this post. Not my intention, but after calls & texts from a lot of concerned people - we need to get this straight. Team 0ne is not an approved rep or dealer for Adidas.

Also our Adidas Pro staff & Seniors from FL (Woodlawn, Villages, Bradenton & Venice hitting clubs have been our Adidas official testers.) Weve done a lot of testing in 2017 with over 30 hit tests to compare the bats.

Team One like all bat companies compare the competition bats, and I believe Alan is saying that. I think a lot of guys were getting confused and after 2 days of phone calls & texts. Just wanted to make sure that the Adidas reps & dealers are where youll get info on the adidas products.

We appreciate your support & Happy Holidays!

Bummer.
I’d hate to think that Alan was saying something improper.
And would definitely like to know if any of his advice was found to be incorrect.

But in the meantime, I would consider him to be a valuable resource in a post seeking opinions regarding Dudley or any other senior bat.

Despite any implied confusion, I have always found him to be quite open and proud of his professional experience and affiliations.

IMO.

Bill,
Let me just say this....if you always speak or write the truth you never have to worry about what you say. I’m not worried.....
