June 10, 2017 West Coast Mayhem #00 Men's 50 21 posts | Player Ratings I have read the rules, but when discussed, everyone seems to have a different answer. Below are a three questions I have on player rating. 1. If a player is rated Major+, will he always be considered a Major+ player as he moves up in different age groups? 2. If a player plays 40 Major+ and turns 50, is he automatically considered a Major Player in 40's? 3. If a player is rated as Major+, but then plays two years in a row in Major division, is he now reclassified as Major? |
June 10, 2017 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | WCM#00 ... SSUSA does NOT rate players ... However, we DO track the historical player experience as it relates to the rating(s) of teams he plays with during the current season and his previous two seasons of participation ... NOTE: A player who stops playing, usually in an attempt to have his experience history "fall off", will not achieve that desired result ... Stopping participation also stops the "statute of limitations" until such time has he resumes play ... As to your questions ... 1. YES - A player carries his experience rating history with him when he ages up ... 2. PROBABLY NO - If a player with 40-Major+ history ages up to 50+, and the former 40's team does NOT age up but he continues to play with that team, he will retain the 40-Major+ history designation ... This one is always tricky and we would suggest you call the Sacramento Home Office at (916) 326.5303 so that your individual circumstances can be evaluated accurately ... 3. YES - If a player with Major+ rating experience history plays exclusively for Major team(s) as one of the three allowed "out of rating" players for the Major team(s), and does NOT play any Major+ in his current age group, his rating experience history will drop to Major at the conclusion of the second season ... Again, if these circumstances affect you personally, we strongly advise contacting the Sacramento Office ... |
