Lefty,
Just got in late last night from playing in Alabama. I received 26&27 Patriots while I was away so yours should be here real soon. I'll check in with Miken this morning on the status of the 28's...

Lefty,This is Eurskine, coach of the Monarchs/Miken team out of Atlanta. We used the Freak Patriot in Valley,Al this past weekend. The bat is Hot out of the wrapper...of course the more it was used, the Performance got Better. We had a 27 and a 28oz...and it is the Real deal for the guy that wants that Compact swing.

Miken just informed me that the 28 ounce Patriots have been released from production and have begun shipping. All sizes are available now including 25,26,27,28 and 30 ounce models....

I believe Miken forgot to put the end load in my 27oz Patriot. It's way lighter than my 2016 senior maxload 27oz. Feels more like 26oz balance bat. My buddy has a scale I'LL get him to weigh it in Pensacola next weekend.

The Patriot in the senior version comes with a 1/2 ounce end load and does not have quite the same "sledge hammer" feel that the Rocket Launcher has. My opinion on this is more SENIOR players will be able to effectively swing the Patriot due to its balance point difference. I have swung the Rocket Launcher and it is indeed a good bat but I have not swung it enough to test its durability. I do know the Patriot extensively and I can tell you it's the finest 12" barrel senior bat out there right now. And.....I will do a review on the USSSA version soon. At this point I'll summarize. WOW,,,!

I received my 28 oz patriot Monday the 9th and used it this past weekend down in Escondido. All I can say is my favorite Dudley is not going to see much swing time, the Patriot is crazy hot. It was my understanding that the Senior version is balanced and does not have an end load. which is why I got a 28 oz because it seems to swing the same as my Dudley eload 26oz. I cant imagine anyone being disappointed.

28 OZ received and hit 52 balls, great pop but already loss half the paint. Anymore paint loss and I know the Umps will not let it be used in a game. Reminded me of the old White Combats. I'll stick with my Dudley.

Tri thanks for all your post, i will wait for your comparation withe usssa version, rocky026 i think it will be a problem if the bat loses his paint so fast for the umpire check by the way i'm from dominican republic we play softball and i love to test the bat and i want to make an event like long haul bombers here at my country where everyones plays softball i need to find the correct bat for long distance so people in the event will have so much fun and my self not matter that are inlegal here we makes the rules and that is the dificult of play here.

300 swings on the 27oz and it made me glad I purchased it. Great 12" bat. Now at my age my timing seems to be off and on. Trying to straighten it out for Maryville next month. I haven't had any paint chip problems with my Patriot.

Rocky if paint loss is an issue I'd suggest you contact Miken as there was an issue with paint on a batch of bats and I believe they were replacing these...

The 12" Barrel is the Senior Version...the 14" Barrel is the USSSA version. Of course the Senior version(12")...Performance standards will cause the ball to travel farther..and the restraints from Usssa will shorten the Distance a little...NOT MUCH...just a little. The 14" barrel still has a lot of pop.The Senior version...or the USSSA version... Both good choices
