Dudley lighting 26oz balanced
I have a 26oz Dudley lighting balanced, I bought it when they first came out but hardly used it ,yesterday we were having batting practice, I guess I hit it wrong and the end cap came flying out. broke on one side. I called Dudley about buying a new end cap, or maybe I could send it to them in and they could put a new end cap in. they said they do not sell end caps and could not fix it for me. So I guess I have a 200.00 paper weight. If any body knows were I can get end cap or anybody who can fix thanks budda12

That doesn't seem right. Dudley has a awesome customer service reputation. Budda12 send an email to DudleySports and let them know that your endcap came off and they will ask you to send them some pictures and a copy of your receipt. Once they review the information they will send you and RA # to send the bat back. I personally had nothing but great customer service from Dudley.

Good Luck

I also had a problem with my Dudley. About a 2" X 2" piece of the sticky surface came off. I called Dudley and they asked for a picture and proof of purchase. They told me to send them my bat so that they could evaluate it. They agreed with me and I had a new bat in my hand within one week of when I sent them my old bat. Great customer service!

There has got to be someone on this board that has broke a Dudley (hopefully I did not just jinx myself) that would be willing to send you the cap.
WHO HAS AN END CAP TO HELP HIM OUT ?!

Budda 12, strange! As I read your post I thought I was reading a e-mail that I sent to Dudley yesterday. I've experienced the same issue with my 26oz balanced. Long story short, Dudley pretty much said stick it!!!! My experience with Dudley customer Service is poor! Feel the same $200.00 paper weight!

Say you did get new end cap and added some weight to cap and re-glued would this be considered altering?

Wish you posted before last weekend.. I broke a Dudley with less than 200 swings and zero batting practice after 75 swings of Breakin....Dumped it in the garbage! loved that bat and broke it on first swing this year on a mis hit grounder in the first game of the year.. WTF anyway.. I have another one in my bag that has about a 100 swings. I don't hit BP with it and will see how long it last... so far it's lasting me about what a Melee would..:-(

I've had great service from Dudley. I purchased a Lightning from the rep at the winter nationals in Fl when they first came out. My endcap broke and it flew out and hit our second basemen in the knee during BP. I had no receipt but they not only took the bat back, but I asked if they would make the bat a 27 instead of a 28 and they sent me a new 27 oz. bat. I copied the old post I made on here and posted it below:

UPDATE GOOD NEWS! I got an email from Dudley and my endcap has been replaced and the bat is in shipment to me via Fed-ex due to arrive tomorrow. From 1/4/15 when I first contacted Dudley to 1/12/15 to complete the process is great customer service! Thank you Dudley for stepping up for your customers!

swing, I told you that you were too modest about your power! Did you break it at Hayward? I think I swung the Lightning a few times when they were selling them at Worlds in Vegas in 2014. I didn't like it. Maybe they were all end-loaded back then?

Yep, Omar! I still can't believe it broke like it did. Hope the next two bats I have give me a better deal than this last one.

You need to talk to the Salesperson or rep that you bought from, I have had several end caps break and all have been replaced with a new bat. Also all have been balanced bats and none of the endloads.

hitman, not sure if this is a factor, but if he bought the bat when they 1st came out, and it is now just losing its end cap, the bat may be way past the period that they would consider an exchange. I too returned a bat to Dudley last year but it was because of something rattling inside of it. But it was shortly after I had purchased at the bat and they made good on it.

from my experience with Dudley, despite a "No Warranty" label on the bat when new, if you purchased your Lightning Legend bat from an authorized dealer (not eBay, not a teammate, etc) of Dudley's and you can provide the original receipt from that authorized dealer and the receipt is dated less than 1 year from the date of your claim, then your bat is eligible for the next step. From there, you will have to show that your bat experienced end cap failure or paint failure during play and send the bat and all components (i.e. failed end cap) to Dudley for evaluation/examination. If you do not meet those requirements, then you shouldn't expect Dudley to replace your senior bat - it does say "No Warranty" on it when you bought it.

my end cap broke on my first 25 swings....it appeared that the 2 part epoxy wasn't mixed properly and half the endcap remained glued solidly in the bat end...the "glue" was still wet and that told me that it was a 2 part epoxy that wasn't thoroughly mixed....end result was that I got a new bat or new end cap whichever because the bat was so new, I couldn't tell a new one from mine yet...Dudley was good about it...it did take a month because that was the first batch of Dudleys made and they were in great demand
