| Feb. 9, 2016 NYGNYY 215 posts | TOC Updated Results I have always tried to understand why it takes so long to update TOC results on this website. This past weekend I noticed someone on SSUSA staff tried tweeting the results and that turned out to be not very well organized. One comment was due to the weather....really? If this process is just thought out and planned...as an example before each TOC there is a point person chosen to get all field results by close of games each evening no matter how late. That person can then update the results onto this website by noon the following day. I just don't get it...with software available this should not be a major project unless SSUSA just doesn't see the need. |
| Feb. 9, 2016 mck71 Men's 60 344 posts | What I said is that it was very possible that the updates were not produced on Saturday as weather shortened the day on many if not all fields and the Directors had to scramble to work out out how to finish the tournament. I can't speak for other divisions or fields but we played on Loyce Harpe in Lakeland and were able to finish on Sunday (only 1 field was not playable) but doing 5 inning games up until the LBF and Championship. Order of finish in 55 AAA Olympian Athletics beat Integrity Builders in LBF, forced the IF game against LVSSA Hitmen but lost by 4 in the Championship Game. Congrats to the Hitmen, they played well. And congrats to SSUSA for getting this tournament in (Tim and Fran were at our field in the am), was bad weather Saturday and I honestly didn't expect to be playing Sunday. This was our first time at the TOC and we had a GREAT time the whole week (other than losing the Championship game of course! lol) Mike Keenan Olympian Athletics |
