Alan,
Go to the Search window just to the right of the Senior Softball logo and type in "Partial Knee Replacement". There's a whole discussion on the subject.

don't know the details but sport talk radio 670 in Chicago about a year ago was saying if you can stall about 2-3 years there is a replacement coming out that will be like the bionic man.

I've had one on each knee, right knee 12/12 and the left one 11/13. Both are fine, stated playing again 4 months after each surgery. Everyone is different, i was bone on bone in the inside of my knee. Rest of the knee was fine. As long as your ACL and other parts of your knee are ok a partial should work. Robot was used on both of mine, doctor is still there but the robot arm makes sure its done correctly and no extra bone is touched. You get an MRI and the damaged area is mapped into the computer. The robot arm only works on the damaged area.
Good luck

Audie-I had the full replacement-it was not the best experience of my life-to say the least, but after being in so much pain I could hardly play the last 2 years before I did it, I say go for it, work hard to get back, and enjoy being pain free after it is done. I have gotten back to where I am competitive again, and you will too. Best of luck! See you in Vegas.

Mr. Manassas I saw you running in Ft Myer last week and was suprised at how well you ran after watching you try to run after knee replacement for years.
What changed? need advise as I'm struggling in rehab for several years now. I will be going back to see my surgeon this month and need game plan.

R tavern......My advice to anyone who's has had a knee replacement is to work out in the pool and simulate as much of the motion that you do during a game. I continue to do that at least twice every week.
