I'm probably beating a dead horse here but most imbalance problems are ear or blood pressure related. I recall back in the 80's a major league 3rd baseman had that problem, it may have been George Brett and he was treated with medication.

Michael, you might check out the possibility that you have a sugar problem. I've been hypoglycemic ever since I began playing senior ball and have passed out on the field on several occasions. The way to tell is to have a glucose tolerance test. A simple blood test which checks your hemoglobin level will not indicate a spike in blood sugar, which is what causes the symptoms.

Google reactive or athletic hypoglycemia and see if you have similar symptoms.

Michael, I agree with hombre. Get an A1C test at your Doc's office. I used to get dizzy and also lightheaded, especially later in games. Turned out I had type 2 diabetes and the sugar in the drinks I was using to hydrate during games was spiking my blood sugar like crazy. Lost weight, laying off anything high in sugar or white flour and my numbers are almost perfect. Have not gotten dizzy in two years. Good luck! - hope everything turns out OK.

Michael, I checked your posts and you complained about this in 10/14 and said it occurred while changing oil after sharply moving your head. You received a diagnosis and were given exercises to do. This probably has nothing to do with softball and sounds like an inner issue after positioning your head in certain ways. Are you doing the exercises you were prescribed? There is also a manipulation of the neck called the Epley manipulation which might be what you were prescribed. You should get checked out by the best ENT specialist in you area since diabetes medications and blood pressure meds could also be involved as discussed above. My guess is if you learn to do the Epley you can proactively take care of this.

I have all of those things that have been said and more. My glucose is out of control. After the posts my diabetes seems to be the the main cause. I will really need to watch my diet a lot better witch I have not been doing. I think that now that I have heard from fellow players it pointed out my diabetes is my main cause. Thanks a lot for the replies I really need to control my diet
