You are missing something: This Message Board post from a couple of hours ago on the same topic ...
__________

We temporarily adjust ratings for the TOC teams to what the teams were at the time they earned their bid .. Vacar Stars is playing in the TOC as a 70-Major ... The rating has been restored to Major for that tournament only and will revert to 70-Major+ after the TOC ... You might observe that phenomenon for multiple teams that qualified for the TOC at a rating below their actual rating across all ages ...

Rtaven, check the "Automatic Move Up" thread. This topic is discussed and answered there. Your "old" Virginia teammate from back in the day, Larry Lopez.

rtaven - There are temporary rating changes for many teams to get the "proper ratings" in place for the upcoming TOC in February, including the Vacar Stars ... Teams play in the TOC at their rating when they earned their bid to the TOC ... Those teams were temporarily changed back to the rating they will play at in Florida ... After the TOC, the ratings will be reinstated to the proper levels ... This is done only to accommodate the TOC tournament administration for scheduling, pairings and related event-specific items ...

Your Bailey Talent Cavaliers will not be going to the TOC, so this temporary, one-event-only re-rating should be of limited, if any, interest to you unless, of course, we somehow forget to move them back to 70-Major+ after it ends ...
