Aug. 17, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: WHY IS IT HARD TO GET A RESPONSE I have e-mailed SSUSA a number of time with questions that I've had and their response has been very quick and understandable. They have explained thing to were I understand and if I didn't they would instruct me to call the office an ask for the person who would have the answer. These people don't just sit on their butt, they work like all the rest of us. If you only knew how much they have to do with the staff that they have you would better understand. They are a few staff member, but their are thousands of softball players with question. Please give them time to response. |

June 1, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: ROCK & RENO Want to say great job by the SSUSA director and staff at Golden Eagle complex. You ran a great tournament, games on time, weather was good for the most part, until the rains came. Officials were great also. The competition was very even, games were close. You couldn't have asked for a better tournament. Great job to all. Cut Loose 65 Paul |
May 17, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: AA bracket So what you are saying is that the AA teams not a strong as AAA when so of the AA teams beat AAA teams in seeding games. So in a seeding game, is not used for strength of a team? |
May 17, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: AA bracket Why is SSUSA still having AA brackets? I thought that SSUSA was going to do away with the AA Division and move them up to AAA. The Reno tournament has only have 2 teams which really doesn't make a difference as to who wins or loses. But to mix them up with the AAA bracket kinds of messes thing up for the AAA teams. I think that SSUSA should really look at removing the AA teams and move them up to AAA. A new team that comes into the tournaments must start at AAA and not AA. In the major tournaments I think if there are more than 4 teams in AA that they should have a bracket of there own. If not they should play AAA. Just my thoughts, AA is only a fun bracket with really no serious thought of winning because teams that play know the will place lst or 2nd because AA don't play in the big tournaments. |
May 7, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 50 AAA For teams and players that play SSUSA softball tournament I want to say this. Our teams goes to these tournaments to win, regardless of who we play. We know that some of these teams should be in a higher division, but still we pay a lot of money to enter, hotels, meals and plane ticket to come and play. I always thought you do your best to win no matter who you play against. If the team you play in your opinion should be high rated and you beat them, than how would you and your team feel. You won, what next. If you win a tournament or 2 or 3, you should be proud of your team. I have played softball since I was 16 yrs old. My manager has taught me "You go out there, play to win", do your best. I started in a single A division want to win to get to the Major division. The same applies her in SSUSA, we started a AA, moved up to AAA, now wanting to win to get to Majors. This is what every teams should thrive for. Be a winner not a loser, shoot for the moon. |
March 25, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: SouthWest Tournament finals in 65AAA I am the manager of Cut Loose 65. I just want to thank SSUSA for putting on a great tournament in Mesquite. The field were great, the teams were all very even by looking at the scores that you already put up. I just want to say "Thank You for a great tournament". Everything ran very smoothly. To the Director, UIC, and all that were associated with this group, which includes the umpires that were just great. Job well done |
March 11, 2019 Funwiththesuns | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Team ratings How can a team with major players get rated AAA rating? Doesn't Sacramento look at the roster to see if players have played in the major division before rating them AAA? It seems that some teams are favored over others because of being a bubby. I think SSUSA need to look at rosters to see how many players are major players on a team before rating them AAA. Need to look at the new teams because that is where they are, that's not fair to the true AAA teams!!! |
