there shouldn't even be 4 divisions of every 5 years ..its ridiculous. You wind up with 4 or 5 team tournaments not even worth traveling to ..at the most there should be 2 divisions for every age group. and maybe it should be in 7 year groupings..48 to 55 56 to 63 64 to 70+ and over 70 a good tournament should have close to 16 teams in its bracket

I think they should use the net and add an 11th fielder it works well..the Hr s are no big deal as they are limited and most teams score their 5 runs an inn. with or w/o hitting Hrs

looking to play in the TOC in both Tampa and Polk County this year I will be in fla taking family to Disney via Make a wish Foundation Jan 27 to Feb. 3..COULD COME EARLY AND/OR STAY LATE to play in either tournament. Good outfielder played as a 55 pick up last year and was selected to All World team could also play in 50s as I play in many leagues of all ages here in NJ

personally I think the outfielders in general play way too deep..especially those who are playing the hitters opposite field

I have been using a mizuno wrath extended here in nj in the cold..I even took about 75 swings in jan..it is hot right out of the wrapper..and only gets hotter..I bought 15 of them and have 10 left which i AM SELLING FOR $179 each..they are usssa nsa and isf approved..contact me at chapsteven4@aol.com if interested..if you need a cold weather bat that is more durable then a senior bat..but still hits well let me know thanks

anyone ever play with a steel core ball..I think it was a t-2000 from the early 1980s..didnt matter what bat you used..it was like a golf ball and it had a warning stamped on the ball too

the 1 -1 count is a no brainer..all the league s both young and old play it here in pa and nj..some give an extra foul with 2 strikes which might be a good idea..saves 15min at least per game..better action in the field too as everyone must be on their toes

why would you shave a senior bat? they are already hot...and less durable..if you shave it ,it wont last long but there is no need to

Discussion: WORST OUTFIELDER-In Your Opinion

I agree with glovedad...fence hugger is way too prevalent esp in senior softball..it cost us both money games last tournament..there are more doubles in front of people then over their heads..and most seniors will only get 2 if they beat someone anyhow..so get some courage and play up a little and steal some hits
