I think the bigger question is ... if you don't take a full swing, lets say you only swing 3 quarters, will your bat last 25% longer ?

Send me a text first so I know it's not someone trying to sell me an extended car warranty.

Looking for positional players for the 60 Major division.
Not opposed to combining teams if it's favorable for both.
We will be playing in Vegas.
Respond with email for more details.

Got hit by the injury bug.
Could use a few positional players (infield or outfield).
We play 9/22-24.

While I got the juices flowing, maybe a SSUSA staffer is listening.
As a pitcher the helmet rule is ridiculous, I understand the safety issue but finding a helmet that you can see full range is very difficult.
Especially when you have to quickly look down by your feet.
I think a better rule would be to allow a team an extra fielder once the opposing team has hit the max HR's.
Just because I have a helmet on doesn't mean they can't hit me in the foot, knee and a special area I like to call my money maker.

So there lies the flaw that your team rating is also based on how many Major player experience you have.
Some guys are playing Major just to play with their friends.
I think a system which accounts for team power would be a better measurement.
Scorecards contain that information for each game and each team.
If a team has played, lets say 10 games, and they're averaging 0-2 HR's a game then should be able to move down from Major to AAA.
It works the other way as well if a team is averaging 3-4 HR's a game then they should be flagged as possibly moving up.
If a team is averaging 8-10 HR's then please check their bats!

Discussion: Northeast Team Ratings

Unfortunately rating teams is always going to be difficult task, from year to year, as some teams get better and others get worse.
Until they figure a way to rate players the system will always be unfair.
I determine the level our team should be rated by the number of HR's we can hit.
If I feel we can hit 5 or 6 dingers, a game, then we play Major, less then that then we play AAA.
High Street was actually AAA in most of the associations and they moved up on their own.
They hit anywhere between 4-6 HR's a game, as I keep a close eye on them, so they are rated correctly.
If your team is not hitting that many then you should be playing AAA or find a few more HR hitters so that you can compete.
The system is not going away so either you conform or you complain.
On a side note High Street's strength really comes from their coach, who is a genius and damn good looking too.

Ahhh...that's why I couldn't find you.
I was thinking you may have spelled your name Kelley, but couldn't find that either.
I have a 1982 Auburn Astros card of Geoff Meadows, he's local and has actually played with the Bucs before getting a free ride with the Metro Stars in the 50 Major division.
I collect autographs of former pro baseball players who now play softball.
If you know of anyone let me know...thanks, Chico

Thanks Dave
Great games as usual, love those intense 7th innings.
I might as well just shave my head as you guys made me lose most of my hair anyway.

What is Kelly's real name, trying to find his baseball card ?
