Discussion: crossing commit line

Question: (maybe 2) can a runner be tagged in a run down before he crosses the line. (I know it sounds silly if ya know the rules)BUT?.... AND... once he crosses the line he can only be put out by a player with the ball in hand/glove touching home plate? true or false.

Sorry to hear about Jo....I knew we had talked about your/her Parents but didn't know about Jo. I think we need to set 2 empty chairs behind the backstop at Metro....one for Jo and one for Bill.

My Softball bag is like my golf clubs...I start with the heaviest while I'm fresh and go lighter when I start to tire....also after the HR's are gone, go to a NSA Utrip or ASA to change distance BUT keep the weight and swing the same.

If I'm not mistaken the Worth BFG (black with white laces) is a 15" glove as is the "Field General"....Nobody at any of the tourneys I've played in has ever been challenged by the TD's....thought maybe they were leagalized???

rightrj1....just as there are players in others divisions that "KNOW" how to play the game, just because my monicker is Corky doesn't mean I'm the Corky that works for SSUSA.....I'm not....just a nickname like his....and I have played at the major level...actually have played all levels except major+....Never wanted that label.

RightRj......"SSUSA doesn’t give a flying F@@k about the guys who really know how to play the game"……understand your frustration but to say major + players are the only guys who know how to play is soooooooooooo wrong you might want to stay away from such generalizations.

Discussion: Would like names of leagues and locations that:

In Indy we use 44/400 worth gold dots and all senior bats are leagal. Indiana Senior Softball org. runs the leagues. Indianapolis Sports Park provides the diamonds and NSA umpires. 6' tall 2' wide pitchers screen is mandatory. screen may be moved half the width of the 2' pitching rubber to accomodate left or right handed pitchers. Batted ball hitting screen is a dead ball strike. On third strike the batters out. No significant injuries so far.
