Nov. 8, 2020 Ballplayer635 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: TROPICAL STORM ETA With the SSUSA staff located in Ca., there is no way they can relate to the tropical storm/Hurricane events.Just as those of us on the east coast can't relate to earthquakes or mud slides. With the State of Emergency for Lee County as well as 8 other counties in Florida and the school closings and the 5-8 inches of rain between now and Tuesday. PLaying ball will be extremely difficult. Since these are NOT Artificial Turf fields, be prepared to bring extra cleats and multiple socks as the outfields will be under water. As the storm skirts the coast, the rain bands which will cover the entire state will bring lots of water each day. The winds from the storm will make pitching, well.. difficult. A LOT of walks if we play. The SSUSA staff should consider moving this tournament either to the east coast or postpone it to another week. |
