What happened to the scores for 50, 55, and 60 tourney from this weekend. Maybe SSUSA can create an ap the will allow for directors to auto input score near realtime! How hard can that be?

Discussion: DoublePlay 55 softball team dissolves

Friends and teammates past and present, I have been ask by Paul and Anna Smit to post the following regarding DoublePlay 55 Softball Team:
-----------------------------------------------

"After Thoughtful Consideration and many hours of Tears and Conversation, Paul and I have decided to Disolve the Doubleplay Team, Effective Immediately.

We have had an extremely successful 12 year run and have Great Memories and Hardware to Show for it !!

We are Exhausted from the Emotional and Financial Drain of Running a "Pay as you Go" Team .
We do have other commitments and Issues away from Softball that we would like to Focus on.

A written Release will not be Necessary, I've already taken the first step in contacting SSUSA and will follow thru first thing tomorrow morning . All of you will then be available to play with a new team Immediately.

We Wish you Great Success and Happiness on and off the Field."

Anna and Paul
------------------------------------------------
As you may know this was a very difficult decision for my good friends. I also wish my teammates (past and present) all the best. I have very much enjoyed playing with everyone of you!

Thank You all!.../Wayne Wilcox

Discussion: Is There Any Real Difference?

I have hit owned both. I swing 28oz End Load bats. The Maxload has abetter feel and the load seems slightly heavier (which I prefer). I've owned two of the Maxloads and neither lasted more than 75-80 swings. They have been returned to Miken for "evaluation". The Blackout I'm swinging now has over 350 swings on it. Still no webbing, paint cracks, or endcap issues. It is a very solid senior bat. The Blackout has only a slight load to it so I have been adjusting to it. I'm not even sure it is broke in yet. I doubt this will break before I get to use the warranty.

Discussion: Paul Smit- Team DoublePlay Classic

Paul is a outstanding SS, Manager, leadoff hitter, and emotional leader of our team. He will be sorely missed in the coming weeks. I prayer for your quick recovery Paul...so Anna can get her life back! You two are some of my closest friends.../W

I was the one giving him grief about that sorry attempt to RF. Mike, it was a freak'n BOMB! Someone should google earth that blast to verify the distance. It might be the longest ball I've seen hit as a senior player.

If you have the skill to play at the 50 major level, can make a commitment, and are looking for a new team in 2010, please contact me at 619 851 1355. Thanks.
