Not a high priority question. But historically when (how often) does the list of TOC qualified teams (2022) get updated? TIA

D˛..Needing to lean on your "all-knowing" expertise (same topic/subject). My Android phone will open and display SSUSA newsletters and various other .pdf files, either directly of after download. Also I have no issues with a laptop at all. But I cannot open or download .pdf w.r.t SoCal State Championships, (any division). All apps are updated. Are these files encrypted or uploaded differently? The address bar seems to indicate a redirect... Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

D˛.. Sounds like a great turn-out. So, additional site(s) is a possibility? Any hints as to what those others might be?

Discussion: ROCK 'N RENO CHALLENGE...BRAVO !!

DW_7 ... The results are posted in an "unconventional" way... Rather than being posted when clicking on individual age groups (i.e. schedule and brackets) they are all listed above that labelled as TOURNAMENT RESULTS (BOLD letters). Hope that helps !!

D˛..Are you saying that info from Top Gun has not yet been turned in (submitted), or Top Gun has not yet updated the scores/brackets for .pdf upload?

D˛, realizing that the equalizer is a matter of choice by any team, but in your statistical review, what is the percentage of each option used (runs vs. extra defensive player)? TIA

D˛, Thanks for the updates and the hard work that goes into keeping the "troops" as happy as possible. One question... What happened in the championship game in the 60 majors (7-0)?

With recent post regarding session #1 field assignments, is it safe to assume (oh crap.....used the word assume) that session #2 will use the same field mix/locations? TIA

Discussion: Clarification - SPW St. Geo

In 55/60+ Platinum bracket play, game #14 indicates AOS advancing, even though the score did not reflect such. Is the score entered incorrectly or did the incorrect team advance?
BTW, great meeting the infamous D˛ @ St. Geo and putting a name and face together.

Discussion: Explanation please

Tim/Dave……Using the statement, “SSUSA tries to protect the teams at the next level down. Some of the system safeguards are in place to accomplish exactly that.” (I am sure SSUSA does).

But, could you explain how a roster of twelve 50 Major guys are "safeguarded" from twelve 55Major+ guys? Obviously, I am still needing an education....TY

BTW, thanks for the interesting narrative of closing loophole #1.

Discussion: 2021 SPRING WORLDS

In a previous thread somewhere, it was mentioned that session 3 had secured Little Valley fields in St. George. The main tournament page does not have those fields listed, so I am simply double checking if this is still the case and games will take place there. TY

Discussion: Tournament Structure

D˛.. thanks for the detailed reply AND education.

Without question, numerous conversations have taken place regarding “balancing the scales”, and by your above provided example(s), Major+ stands out the most.

Therefore what wisdom can you shed on statement... All teams rated AA, AAA, and Major have an their own effective skill level ceiling, whereas a Major+ team, the skies-the-limit? Or is it?

Discussion: Tournament Structure

I need an education. Given a tournament size of 100+ teams, with varying age and skill categories, age clearly creates the first grouping, and then skill level(s) creates an additional split....Common Logic.

Now comes the education … When building the round robin/seeding, and then the brackets; is the first priority given to keeping teams within their same age group (even tough there may very well be four skill levels (AA thru M+) spanning the age group, thus equalizers)? Or is priority given to keeping teams at the same ratings index (even though there may a cross-over in two age groups)?

Discussion: Maintaining our team's rating

D˛ Since on the subject of ratings...Where can I find the (R/I) you eluded to in your response (i.e. 65AAA = 4, 55AA = 5, etc. etc)? Asked another way, what is a 55M players' rating? And a 60 AAA ? And is this scale linear?

TY
