Discussion: Sad to announce

I knew Paul for quite a while, and had the privilege of playing with him on several teams. Paul and his wife Vivian stayed at my house on several occasions while they were here in Colorado, so I got to know them on a personal basis. Paul was a very friendly and caring man. He had a sense of humor that had you laughing until you cried. Paul was definitely a man of conviction. He would let you know how he believed about things. You knew where you stood with him. I was going to visit him St.George this year, but the
virus prevented that, and unfortunately Paul passed away without me getting to visit with him. I will miss wonderful person and friend. My deepest condolences and prayers to his wife Vivian and to his sons. RIP my friend.

You are NOT eligible this year. You are not going to turn 70 in the calendar year 2020. You will be eligible in the year 2021, which would be in Phoenix in November, late Fall, which starts the 2021 season.

Mt. High, (Ed), would be an asset with any 70 team that he would have the chance to play with. He had a solid tournament with us, offensively and defensively.

Discussion: In need of several players for Aurora, Co tournament in August, 2019

Thank you for your respnses. We have filled the roster for the Aurora Colorado tournament. If you’re interested in playing with us in 2020 please give me a call. We will be sponsored for our tournaments. We will be a AAA 70 team. Remember, your state must touch Colorado to be eligible to play with our team. You must be 70 in the year 2020. Thank you.

We are in need of an infielder, (3rd base) 2nd baseman, and an outfielder for the Rocky Mountain Championship on August 23-25, 2019, in Aurora, Colorado.
This will be a newly formed team for this tournament and will be sponsored. No monies will be collected for the tournament from players. It will be a 70 AAA team. If you are going to be 70 in the year 2019, you are eligible to play. Remember, your state must touch Colorado to be eligible. We are in the “thinking” stages of forming a 70 AAA for the 2020 season and will be sponsored by the sponsor of the Colorado tournament above. If you are interested, call DuWayne Pillard, 303-437-5340.

Thank you, Dave. I realized that the word TENTATIVE is in the post always. It's to bad that teams wait until the last minute to schedule going to a tournament. I am not a person that likes to schedule last minute changes, however, I do understand where you are coming from. I will have to explain that to my team that made all their reservations in Mesquite. Can you give the directions one more time on the back way drive to the Canyons from Mesquite?

SSUSA, if I am wrong, correct me. Didn't you have 70's listed at playing in Mesquite at Hunter Park last week on your field assignments page? I will go back and check to make sure of your posting. There are a lot of very upset people if now they are playing at the Canyons in St. George, UT. The Canyons are a beautiful complex, that is not the issue. The issue is people would have made their reservations in St.George had they known this change when you posted field assignments over a week ago!! Please explain. If I am wrong, I apologize.

Discussion: Colorado Team looking for Player AAA/Major

We are a newly formed 70 AAA team this year. We are a tournament team. We have gone to one tournament so far, Phoenix and took runner up. We are a solid team, but are looking for one more impact player, infielder, 3rd or SS. We will be going to 5 more tournaments, with the next tournament in Mesquite, NV, March 20-22. Your state must touch CO. You must turn 70 by Dec.31, 2018. If you are interested, call 303-437-5340. Thank you. DuWayne

Discussion: Looking for AAA or Major Player

We are a new independent in 70 AAA We are looking for a utility player that can play infield first, preferably shortstop or 3rd base. We competed in the Phoenix Worlds in Nov. and finished runner-up in our first tournament. The chemistry among our players is excellent. The player we are seeking must fit the culture of our team, no "head cases," allowed! You can be ranked Major or AAA. We have an excellent group of core players, but are looking for one more impact player. We provide uniforms and entry fees to tournaments. We do ask players for a membership fee for the year. A new player's fee will be prorated since we have played one tournament already. You can be 69, but must turn 70 in 2018. You also must live in a state that borders Colorado. We will be going to the Mesquite Spring Worlds, Southwest Nationals-Las Vegas, Reno, NV, Rocky Mountain Championships, CO, and World Masters-Las Vegas.
If you are interested call, 303-437-5340.
