Frank Job who devised the Tommy John Surgery for elbows died. Dr. Bernie Morrey
who was a friend of his can give you advise. He spends summers at the Mayo Clinic in
Rochester. Minnesota and winters at his ranch (Elbow Bend) in La Grange, TX. He also helps
his son Dr. Matt Morrey who does orthopedic work in the San Antonio Medical center.

I don't have a phone # handy but maybe you can find him with some phone calls.

When you speak with him tell him you're a softball player and mention me.

I understand from this discussion the Flip Flop Rule might cut one half inning off the game. How much time is saved?

Discussion: TX STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-TOC QUALIFIER

I'm glad that the TX State Championship was moved out of Houston. The Houston Sportsplex gave Houston Players a bad name. We told TX Half Century that the complex was terrible but it was advertised by them as being terrific.

8 seasons ago I played at Krieg in Austin and it was a dump. Has it had a makeover... ?

I have spent a lot of time in Austin and found it to be the most expensive city in Texas and very difficult to ge around in. To compound things, there's someone who has been throwing rocks at cars from overpasses on I35. I can't agree with Capt. Kirk that Austin is a great city.

Discussion: Plantar Fasciitis

Swing, I'm not discussing whether doctors don't like using cortisone to (sic) much. I'm saying doctors have successfully used cortisone on Planter Fasciitis. Also I was not asking whether there were great videos on line. I was saying that Wayne37 did not supply information about the way to tape.

Discussion: Plantar Fasciitis

Wayne37 tells us our feet can be taped for planter fasciitis, but doesn't tell us how. He tells us doctors don't like to use cortisone, but I know least I who did and cured my teammate. I suppose there are others.

Discussion: Do you use senior bats in non tournament games/leagues?

Senior Bats are used in all 3 Senior Softball Leagues in the Houston Area. No screens are used.

taits,

I don't completely understand your reply.
We have a AA team. A AAA player wants to join our team because his AAA team folded. He will be the only player joining our team.
Is he allowed to join?

Can a AAA player move to a AA team if his AAA team folded and there are no AAA teams in his area?

Discussion: WHO ARE CURRENTLY THE MOST POWERFUL HITTERS IN SENIOR SOFTBALL

Jose used steroids and gained an athletic edge. Then he wrote a book about his use of steroids and other players use. This resulted in investigations, new tests, and numerous suspensions. All of these actions lessened the use of steroids in sports. For this reason, I give Jose credit and a pat on the back.

Discussion: Worth legit

Several years ago I heard that the Ultra II Balanced would not last. I had been using mine for 3 years in tourneys and play in 2 leagues. Convinced it would break at anytime I gave it away. My teammate has had it for 4 seasons. It's been in use for 7 seasons and still performs well. My new Ultra II has been in use for 4 seasons. How's that for the theory that Ultra IIs don't last.

Discussion: Cant decide on a senior bat

When anyone talks about a senior bat, there's always a comparison to an Ultra II Balanced or end loaded. This leads me to believe that the best bat is an Ultra II. I have one that's in it's 4th season and it's performance is spectacular.

Discussion: where are all the pitchers

I wear a titanium mask when I pitch. It's lightweight, comfortable and I have good vision with it. Suppose I don't wear the mask. If a screaming line drive hits me in a shin, maybe my shin breaks. If it hits me in the thigh maybe my thigh bone breaks. If it hits me in the ribs, maybe a rib breaks. But if it hits me in the face maybe it kills me. We have all read about pitchers who have died from a batted ball to their face.

Discussion: Miken Senior Bat Review- shich is the best bat of the 3?

I have used the Ultra II Black exclusively for the past 6 years. It performs better than any bat that I have used. Since I am not a power hitter the bats last a long time. I had my first one for three years then bought another one figuring (because of UII durability stories)the first one was about to break. I gave it to a teammate three years ago and he's still using it. I've been using my second one for three years. I play in two leagues and on a tournament team, so it gets a lot of use. There is no reason for me to switch to another brand.

Discussion: Boombah Turf shoes

I've used Boombah turf shoes for five seasons. I've found them to be extremely comfortable. I play four league Games a week and one tournament game a month between March and the end of November. I've bought two pair in five years and still use the first pair along with the newer pair. For me, they are long lasting.

Discussion: Texas State Championships - How were the fields and other Facilities?

I observed them replacing the infield dirt a few weeks before the tourney. We played Thurs and Fri. so the infields looked good but were full of small rocks which made for bad hops. The outfields were uneven which contributed to bad play out there.
I played at this facility in the 1980s and the buildings look like they haven't been repaired since then. The complex was in an area all by itself when new, but now it's surrounded by a commercial slum.
The heat was oppressive, but being Texans we can handle that.

Discussion: what's going on.

boogpow44, why don't you and others like you run for a league office.Just as long as you let those people run the league you are going to get the same treatment. It's time to stop complaining and do somthing about it.
