I have a snowbird card for Florida. I have a 65 Major rating, not Major +. I played with Hollis/Rose 65M+ in the TOC but that does not change or jeopardize my Major rating. I would like to play with a 65 Major team in Vegas and I am open to play the whole year or play one time whichever works for the team that needs a player for Vegas. Was notified today that I can't play on a Florida 65M+ team in Vegas because I have a Florida Snowbird status but I can play on a 65M team from Florida OR any 65 M/M+ team from Colorado, Utah, New Mexico or Arizona as my home state is Colorado. Have already paid for airfare, hotel car rental. Don't want to lose the $. Play outfield/1st base. Run fast, base hit, string ball IQ. Please get back with me. SSUSA contacted and said no because of my snowbird status. I have already paid for airfare, hotel and car rental. I play outfield/1st base with a good glove and a lot of speed, good ball iq. I can play with a Floride/Ga/Alabama 65M or any 65 team out of Colorado, NM, Az, Utah. Really want to play some ball and run some bases. Would appreciate a call. I play a lot of tournament ball in the west but do not have a team to play with in the southeast. I would like an opportunity to play SSUSA and FHC in Florida. Played with a 65 team FHC from January thru May but the team folded during the summer. I qualified to play in FHC State Finals before the team folded. | Dec. 1, 2016 surf88 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: rules Dear Dave, I would like clarification on a play that occurred at Papago Park in the 65M division. I hit a line drive to 1st baseman and it glanced off his glove into shallow RF. Pitcher ran to take a throw at 1sr base from the 1B defender. I ran to 1B to beat the throw. Pitcher tripped or could not stop and ran across the orange bag and I hit him wide open, no chance to hit the breaks. We both went flying. I was called out. The collision was so intense I could not think quickly enough to inquire why I was called out. As I look back, I believe my run path was unintentionally blocked and I should have been safe. Would appreciate any/all thoughts. Not complaining here but am nursing a cracked rib. |
