Discussion: Teams looking for 60 and 65 year olds to play

Thank you to the many responders to this call for players.. first the team formerly known as RDG Chattanooga has a new name: Southern Thunder 60s 3A and we have a full roster with all of our additions. Our new title sponsor will be announced soon. We do have a waiting list and a tryout will be required for the team in the future.
Second, we have had a great response to this call, so great that we are going to help other coaches that need players find the players required to fill their rosters also. Multiple age groups and ratings are still needed.
Our mission is to grow Senior Softball! Want to play? Contact me and I will forward your name to coaches who want to remain anonymous at this time. Must be in or around the state of Tennessee.

Discussion: Warm up bat swing

I carry a bownet with regular softballs and the total control balls and a Batting tee to all games. Our team uses it whenever we cannot get an open area to do bp in prior to any games or tournaments. WE LOVE IT! We also use it between games when we start to loosen up again for the next game after a break between games. SO easy to set up! bownet.net is the site. BTW: I personally warm up with an Easton thunderstick all the time, even hitting off the tee. It loosens you up, develops strength and sharpens the eye!

VERY GOOD POINT SSUSA STAFF. Recently I have been looking at sites to promote our area for Senior Softball. Guess what? Just as SSUSA staff responded, most parks and recs want the "kiddies". AND! The kiddies parents pony up big bucks! Sorry, but it is a sign of the times. We seniors need to get out and meet our local officials and show the money we can bring in. We senior players! Not just national staff folks! We need to grow our sport by asking other seniors one on one to play and have larger numbers of players willing to travel and play. If this upsets some folks so be it. WE PLAYERS need to get more involved at the local level.

Discussion: Collapsible Pitching Screen

Pitch safe!! No matter the cost if it prevents a tragedy it or anything is worth the money. We have it at our hitting club and 3 teams I play for. I have seen it protect!
Plus it is great for traveling because of the way it breaks down.
One bat 299.00 for one player. One pitch safe 299.00 for a whole team and family members.

Discussion: Trump Stote Softball Concerns

We loved the Baden's we hit in Montgomery a couple of weeks ago. It is a fair ball for one and all. I also understand contractual obligations. I have played since 1970 and this ball argument/discussion has always been an issue for some. If we all play with the same ball..IT DOESN"T matter. It becomes part of the game just like weather and Umps. Adjust. Let us just play ball..
