I am glad that it took some traction. Please understand I am not talking about Omega or any other team. Dave, made the point that I am asking for, if you are going to have a M+ division then move teams accordingly. It just sucks that on every tournament you have to give 5 runs to teams that are as good or better than you but are rated lower(The bank, Sweet construction, Spare parts, Reality Check, and few more) move them up and move some of those AAA to M. Sure since we are the only M+ teams at times we get to win our division without winning a game...that to me is embarrassing to be named an all tournament team, but team did not win a game or maybe one or two.

To the point that Dave makes about ISSA, I believe is a cheap shot, there are a lot of teams that don't play SSUSA because don't want to play M+. So both associations are flawed some what. The point here I can guarantee that if the 4 M+ teams were to play against the M teams we will not come out 1-4 at the end, perhaps one of the M+ might win it, but even that is not guaranteed. There is virtually no difference between the upper level 60M teams and the 60M+ teams.

Mck71 thanks for the stats, you made my point clearer 1/3 are 60M+ the numbers should be at least half...to many major and AAA teams when compared to the M+...and I can only imagine that it gets even worst with age.

Tim, those are perhaps are two outliers, heck if I am still alive at 70 and still playing, I will be just be happy to be able to move.

Not for the betterment of the game, the game is great. It just makes no sense to have a division where there are no other teams to play with, even at the gran daddy of them all, you have 4 teams. How many you had at the Eastern, TOC...etc. Common sense my friend. After 55 there should be no M+ division is my point. Sure we can play against other 60M+ but there only a hand full and only one in the MIDLANT area.

Four 60M+; 31 60M and 34 60AAA. what is wrong with this numbers? Is time to get rid of the 60M+. The numbers don't lie.

Quick question for you smart people. If you have a product that don't sell and don't make you any profit; wont you slowly get rid of it or just stop selling it all together? So why senior softball keep having a Major plus division beyond 55. As of now there are 5 60M+ going to Vegas and in the Mid-Atlantic area is really just one 60M+. Look at the 60Major and AAA (32 and 35 teams respectively). Is having the 60M+ division making or costing you money? I can guarantee that if the 60M+ were to play the 60M teams, the 5 60M+ will not be 1-5, one of us might win it, but it will be very competitive. I believe that is pass due to reconsider getting rid of the M+ division beyond 55 or start moving teams up...and that is all what I have to say about that.

This is insane that a tournament with just three teams you will make us stay there until Sunday 1700 (if the IF game is played). It just makes no sense, please reconsider starting the games earlier on Sunday. The 40s will be done way before us. REALLY?

Sounds like a lot BS to me and another plot to sell more bats. Every bat is the hottest bat to him. I have a Rock Pet that I am selling. For you big boys that believe this hogwash, I will be in Charlotte next weekend 5/3 at Charlotte and on the 17th at Raleigh. I need a new (used soft bat) that you no longer want because don't hit the ball 450'. I will be playing 55M in Charlotte and 60M+ in Raleigh, please look me up. Thank you, Thank you.

Don't blame the companies, blame yourselves. Most of you buy bats just because they are the new toy in the market. I bet most of you have 5-10 senior bats that are still in great condition, but have to buy the new hottest one. A senior bat is a senior bat; how much hotter can a bat gets? A 305 ft. on 300 ft. fence still a HR, the extra 90 or 100 ft. are a waste (LOL). Oh, by the way few years back; I won the HR derby at the SPA Nationals tournament with the 2012 EL 27 OZ Reebok, that just cracked. That thing was hot, hot, hot. I will buy another one if available at a good price. I have two senior bats a 2017 Miken (My Sunday bat) and a 2016 Dudley both 27EL (Friday and Saturday bat) and they are smoking my Miken is on the last leg maybe 50-75 swings. so I need to look for another one bats soon. You, old people make me laugh.

Mighty Dave, vey easy look for a different state or split the division just like SPA does. Sorry, if you do that you might loose few dollars. Another solution get rid of the M+ division especially after 55...look at the teams total attendance. There are options but to you money is more important that client satisfaction. However, I don't blame you I blame us, we get treated like garbage but we like it and say or do nothing. Just my 2 centavos.

WOW if you guys consider Sunset a good field I can only imagine how bad are the other ones, or you have never played on a good field. Just saying. Again mighty Dave has an excuse.

Discussion: THE VEGAS EXPERIENCE

I was very excited after many years of playing senior level I was finally able to go to Vegas. I will say that disappointment does not describe how awful it was. We played at Sunset fields in my opinion some of the worst fields that I have ever played, they don't even compare to our worst local fields in the VA Beach area at IR and Greenbriar. There was no water or it was hot, no ice in it. The umpiring was not that bad few questionable calls but is part of the game. I saw at least two infielders getting hurt and one of our players broke a foot swinging, there was a hole at the plate. Personally, I don't believe that an organization can take pride in putting an even on subpart venues. First and last time going. SSUSA does it again.

Discussion: HOW LONG?

To piggy back on Matt43, the 60s has the same problem. Look at the 60M+ through out the country. In the East coast is just two teams and perhaps Triangle Masters (depending the assoc.). Personally I believe that beyond 55 should not be a M+ division, the difference among teams is almost minimal. This weekend at the ISSA worlds two 60M+ teams...2 out of 3 on Saturday. We have to do whatever it takes to play...

Very nice!!!I like it and I agree with you especially when the expectation is more teams should make the tournament. Good luck in Valdosta I can not make this one but my team will be there. We were just in Dalton.

Discussion: HOW LONG?

How long will you drive/fly to play the best two out of three especially when you already have beaten the other team three times? If I was the AD I would have the two M+ teams against the M teams and what ever team goes the furthest wins their respective division. I think that approach is much better than two out of three. What you guys think?

The same issue here as it happened at Loudon. Rain forecasted through out the week and weekend, but the tourney will not be canx because of the SSUSA rule. However, all of you driving from out of town WILL look at the forecast and don't believe it...drive knowing the circumstances and then get mad that it was canx. Guess what you do next time, the same thing. Please don't blame SSUSA blame you and your coaches that are not willing to take a stance. Personally, if I had a team I will not play anymore SSUSA tournaments. Especially after Dave response...which I found it to be very disrespectful and arrogant to say the least...They SSUSA are not the only show in town. It will be nice if all of the East coast teams boycott their fancy Vegas tournament...it will be interesting to see how their tone changes...Good luck!
