Discussion: New Dudley 2 piece bats

Just wondering if anybody has heard any new information about the problem that Dudley had with it's new 2 piece bats - breaking after a few swings straight out of the wrapper?
Have they fixed the problem or are they still breaking?
If the problem has been addressed, are the bats as hot as when they first came out?
Does anybody happen to know how to tell the difference between the first batch and the new batch? ...... serial #'s?
Overall thoughts on the newer 2nd batch?
Thanks in advance for any info. that might be provided!

*titanhd - thanks for the lead but not sure they are still in business, Sent 2-3 emails with no response and # is disconnected.
*asuahumni - thanks for the lead but have a Tanel 360 Rage bag and couldn't find anything as far as dimensions / parts list etc.
*bringiton - do you make these for the Tanel Rage bag? Do you have the plans/dimensions required for this brand? How much do they run?
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the leads - do these shelf units make your bag free standing (stands up without being clipped to a fence)?

I've seen some guys that have a frame inside their bat bags that make them basically free standing. I am wondering if these are sold someplace or are they "home made"? If sold, any ideas where I might start my search? Not sure but think they might have had a shelf or 2 attached to the frame also. If you have one any pro/con revues? Thanks for any help with my quest.

It was pretty funny cuz some guys had so many layers on they looked liked the Michelin Tire dude - or maybe Kenny from South Park comedy show. Also if your driving you might want to pick up some chains if you don't already have them. They were selling for over $100 in Reno. Can always return when you get home if you don't use. The hotels were trying to get in on the closure too! Rooms that are normally $42.95 Sun-Thur. were being jacked up to over $120 for Sun. night. Moral of the story - Plan ahead! Good luck to all teams on & off the fields!

SUCKED!
Cloudy w/rain off & on - Fri. wasn't to bad but Sat. the wind was so bad anything in the air would drift sometimes more then 20 yards! Camped under pop ups just to have to back peddle quickly w/a lot of them dropping in for "hits" or flying out depending which way the field was situated! Not only windy but COLD (cutting through layers of clothes cold!)too! We played @ 8am this morning and by 9:30am the pass was closed w/o chains then by 11am when we were eliminated the pass was open & skated through!
Even with the weather conditions it was a well run tournament - everything was smooth as far as I saw! The umpires were pretty good too! The ones we had would get out from behind the plate and were on top of calls @ 2nd! Some of them still need glasses? YEP! (but at our ages don't we all!) 8-}

Also in Nor Cal there are about 4-6 city senior leagues that play during the day if you can get away in the mornings.

Has anybody received their replacement bat yet? If you have, do you know if it's from the same defective batch or different batch? How's the new one holding up?

You also can not get high or fail a drug test with a THC or CBD topical. It gets absorbed into the skin and muscles and never reaches the bloodstream - not true with a transdermal patch.

I use a Cannabis Pain Cream made by Care By Design.
It has a 1:1 ratio of CBD to THC - (150mg CBD & 150mg THC)- it comes in a 30ml spray bottle & sells for about $40 + taxes.
This stuff works quick and is fantastic on sore muscles & joints and it doesn't leave an overly "greasy" feeling. Sundays would be a lot harder without this stuff.
Bad news is I get it from a collective - Berkeley Patient Group in Berkeley, Ca. They also have many other ratios of CBD to THC all the way down to only CBD by itself - 75mg CBD in a 1.5oz bottle for about $18 + taxes (haven't tried this one)

Has anybody tried warming up the bat - NOT heat treating! Taking 50 or more swings @ maybe only 3/4 full strength to get the fibers flexing before the full on assault on the fences? I mean you wouldn't buy a new car with a big motor and 4 speed and drive it right off the lot and start banging through the gears right away! A little break in period might help loosen everything up a bit before putting considerable pressure on the new tight fibers. Kind of like a rubber band - stretch it first a couple times and it wont snap as easily. Any bat guru's know if this might help?

Has anybody had good results so far - if so, how many hits so far?
Like I said in earlier post I had the same problem when the DeMarini "The One" first came out - bought 4 & broke 3 with less then 60 hits & I'm not a power hitter! No recourse at all from dealer I bought from. Basically - "Oh well"!
I for one am appreciative of Elite Sports commitment to collecting as much info. (serial # - where bought - how many hits -etc.) and trying to figure out what went wrong and then trying to deal with Dudley to make it right! It's not like Elite Sports is the company that produced the bat!
Will be checking with Elite Sports before my next purchase!

I bought 2 of these new bats (12" $ 14") but haven't had a chance to swing them yet because of the rain. I for one would be totally stoked if they broke and Dudley dealt with the problem even thou they are "no warrantee". But I would want a replacement from their next batch after they've dealt with the problem no matter how long it took to get that run out. Not as worried about getting replacement bat back quickly (have bunch of other bats to carry me until then) - more worried about the durability. At $400 I would like to get a couple seasons out of these bats before getting "the next hot ticket or must have item) Seems like a good bat once durability problem is dealt with.
Maybe Dudley is trying to get some money back from the money they lost out on because their older bats are so durable and guys were only buying 1-2 bat every decade! 8-)

Saratoga2 - thanks for the lead. Great videos on these new bats. Great news is that if those guys are getting less then a 100 hits before they crack I'll be able to get close to about 600 hits! Seems like a good bat for us base hitters!

Dang!!! That's about $3.50 a hit - hope they were totally awesome hits! Waiting for mine (bought 2) to be delivered Monday - but might be awhile before the weather warms up a bit so I can try them out.
oldschool13- please tell me your 6'4" - 280lb & are a power hitter - @ least that way I might be able to get 100 hits out of mine!
Any other reviews? I know it's early since they are just now being delivered but would like to know if this is a chronic problem or if oldschool13 is just a BEAST! 8-) Demarini "The One" had the same problem when they first came out - only about 60-80 before cracked! Went through 2-3 of those before I gave up on them.
