Do we have any idea which age/rating divisions will be playing at Wallace Marine or Bryant Park? In particular, 65AAA. Thank you!

Discussion: 4 game guarantees in 2023?

I am writing to voice my displeasure with the move to a 4 game guarantee format for virtually all the SSUSA tournaments in 2023. While I understand that costs are rising and SSUSA has increased tournament entry fees, unless my math is wrong there are going to be many more teams exiting the tournaments after just 2 days. Moving more games to the third day of the tournament creates its own set of issues which could cause championship and “if” games to be played later in the afternoon making late afternoon and evening departures more problematic on day 3.

I am also disappointed on how this change was communicated to the teams / managers. It appears to have been done under the radar with just a small, printed message on the tournament pages and nothing except some negative banter between players on the SSUSA message board. Players and teams spend a sizable amount of money to attend these tournaments and with a greater chance of being done after just 2 days, creates costs for unneeded hotel rooms, rental car days and potentially expensive airline change fees. As the listed manager of our team, I was not sent any type of communication about this subject. I think this change will give many teams pause when choosing the number and which tournaments they enter.

Will there be some type of official announcement, explanation and logistical changes to this huge paradigm shift in tournament dynamics? Thank you!

Discussion: Strong 65AAA CO based team looking for outfielders

We're a strong, young 65AAA team looking for a couple of strong outfielders. We are a Scrap Iron team based out of Colorado and play an average of 7 out-of-state SSUSA tournaments per year. AAA is what we're looking for although we only have 1 major player on the team so we could entertain 2 major players as well. We finished 4th out of 26 teams in Phoenix and are looking forward to a strong 2023 season. Come join a team in Scrap Iron. one of the premier senior softball clubs in the US.

Colorado based Scrap Iron team (Heavy Metal) is looking for one or two players for the tournament in Phoenix (NOV 15-17). One infielder, one outfielder. You must live in a state that borders Colorado.

If a player who currently carries a AA or AAA rating, plays in 1 tournament as a major, will he then carry a major "price tag?"

Discussion: 11 Players For 65 Brackets

I have spoken with many players at the 65 level (and many about to move up to 65s) and the general consensus is that they are not in favor of the extra player at the 65 higher skill levels. Has any decision been made, based on player feedback, regarding keeping 65s at 10 players on the field defensively? Thank you!

Do we have an idea of which complex 60AAA will be playing at for Hemet, BLD or Hemet? They are over an hour apart and we need to nail down lodging. Thank you!

Discussion: 60's AAA Colorado Scrap Iron Team looking for players

We just found out today we have been moved from Major to AAA. This is a well established team with great chemistry. Due to some injuries we find ourselves in need of a couple of players. Outfielders especially. You need to have a 60 AAA or 65 Major rating and be willing to travel to the following tournaments: Spring Worlds, Southwest Championships, Atlantic Coast Championships, Southern California State Championships, Rocky Mountain Championships, World Championships and Winter Worlds. You must also be identified by SSUSA as a CO, AZ, UT, NM, WY, OK, KS or NE player.

Discussion: 60's Colorado Scrap Iron Team looking for outfielders

Established 60's Scrap Iron team looking for fast outfielders. We are currently waiting to hear back on our move from Major to AAA. If we stay major, we're looking for Major players. If we move back to AAA we are prohibited from picking up Major players and would need AAA players. We should know in the next week or so (today is 1/7/22). You must be from a state that borders Colorado. Come join a fun team and be part of the prestigious Scrap Iron organization, the largest senior softball club in the US. Cheers!

I looked at some room rates in St George for that time period (if that happens to be the alternative that materializes) and they are all round $350 to $450 per night. Let's hope it doesn't come to that!
