| Jan. 26, 2023 SKings24 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: 4 game tournaments In NorCal they run 3 Game Pool Play into Single Elim so teams get 4 games minimum and charge less and give out better prize packages. So to say the fee should be over $500+ is ridiculous. Cut down on staff needed at certain events, some times I see a number of staff their just sitting around only takes one to update scores and answer questions, depending on field totals and team counts |

Just returned yesterday so was not going to post since I was doing far better things when not playing... Overall the ball was MEH. We played a total of 6 games and hit 4 homeruns total, played at Arroyo Grande, Sunset and BLD. Rotated balls as much as we could to keep a fresh one in, at least we didn't have to buy extra balls like years past since we never lost any at BLD, normally buying an extra dozen or two. Over all out of 5 Stars would give it a 2 at the most. I can say the ShortPorch ball is much better and I will be using it in my local events. But when you need mass quantity you take what you can get. |

The new ball ShortPorch I used one event and got reviews that compares it to the Trump. Just my 2 cents worth. |

Our Senior League uses the Baden Fire and it compares to the Worth WSL ball they have been using. To bad they couldn't link up with Short Porch the ball holds up well in the heat and good feedback when used. But they could be out of them and SSUSA needs over 500 dozen |

| Aug. 28, 2020 SKings24 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Player Rankings & Team Rosters This is the hidden agenda make teams feel certain players who should be Major Plus last year are now ranked as Major this year putting us to think what is going on and how did this happen. At least the other associations are open and honest to what a player is rated. Not hard to post the Name and Rating of each player and when they get re-rated it gets updated for all to see. Its not Personal Data as you call it. Seems like SSUSA has its own agenda and the sheep will follow. |
| Aug. 26, 2020 SKings24 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Player Rankings & Team Rosters I know we will see excuses as to why but if other associations can do it why not SSUSA 1) Post team roster I feel all teams should be able to see rosters across the board and player rankings 2) Player Rankings as all coaches should be aware of who they can or can't pick up. Too many times players are getting re-ranked and they have no idea. Major team at their limit of Major Plus and no idea a certain player(s) have been re-ranked to Major. Puts teams behind the 8 ball when building a competitive roster. Seems as tho information is hidden and coaches are not given the tools to build a proper team, or players questioning teams rosters as they know the previous year certain players played Major Plus but didn't hold the rank. THus not being able to let thier coaches know players are available. |

State Championships on June 12-17 in Sacramento LCLMOTION22 - All I can speak on is the Alameda County and others in the Bay Area may not have Softball at all, I have parks that I use and this is the information I am getting. So I am looking for parks where the restrictions have been or will be lifted fairly soon. As for the Nationals I can speak on that, not going to start rumors as that is over a month away so anything can happen. I have contacts at my various parks in Elk Grove and Sacramento. Elk Grove may come online shortly as for Sacramento I heard nothing thru June. I am only sharing what I know from my communication. |

State Championships on June 12-17 in Sacramento LOL, lets just say we agree to disagree, I knew from my park contacts well in advance during the week. Since you only had two parks listed Sac Complex or Foskett those were not going to happen per the county and Elk Grove where I host events was not open yet per guidelines.So the percentages are the other way. But we are good it all was cancelled per the guidelines the counties have in place. We all as directors want to run events but its going at a snails pace to get parks up and some counties won't even open until after the Summer time, which makes it even more difficult. |

So think of the other fields and how they are kept up. I can't make it due to not being able to get the Friday off. But not to heartbroken about it. Sorry just not feeling the softball vibe right now. |

| May 12, 2020 SKings24 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Rock in Reno tournament I have a great connection in Sparks and was told Golden Eagle more than likely won't open until July, It will be part of Phase 3. This is what I was told from a reliable source. I honestly don't see any softball until July or even August depending what State you are in. I am in Northern California and run events for an organization so I have had some communication with the parks I deal with. Yes we all want to get back to playing but its not as simple as that. Precautions need to be put in place and provided to all teams for them to either jump on board or decide against it. |
