The number of innings has no impact on their decision. Number of teams, average run differential, record and overall finish. These items do have an impact.

Ok Mr. Nick,

your team in 2015 results:

Reno 10 Teams 50AAA
2-0 Seeding won both games 28-16 and 20-11
4-2 overall lost both games to the same team
2nd overall

Nor Cal Cup 8 teams 50AAA
1-1 Seeding 16-2 w and 16-15 lost
4-2 overall and scored on the average 15.4 runs per game
1st overall

Western Nationals 12 teams 50 MAJOR
1-1 Seeding 14-6 w and 7-6 lost
4-2 overall in your very first Major tournament
2nd overall

Why in the heck shouldn't you not play Major, I can't see SSUSA doing anything wrong.

Until you find a new way to generate revenue we will be playing in Sacramento. I don't get it they are a business and their goal is to maximize profit, until they come up with a better plan this mostly will not change.

TAT22,

we travel every weekend and we do see the same teams over and over but at Westerns we see a lot a of new teams Socal, WA, OR and AZ. We only have 11-13 teams in our division in the Nation anyway, so he traveling to CO to see the same teams we see every weekend doesn't make sense. Let's be honest there are teams that will travel and there teams that don't and it isn't going to change by playing CO. You are going to pick up a few teams with in the surrounding area and your not going to get the 50 some teams from CA.

SSUSA fishes in the pond that has the most fish not the one the has the most beautiful scenery.

Do you think having the tournament lets say in CO, that it will draw at least 50 more teams not including CA teams?

It just makes sense for SSUSA to hold the tournament in their backyard, they make more money it is just so simple.

16wood,

That makes me laugh we all know that isn't the case. I do understand you wanting to play close to home, I believe most of us do. We all know you can't please everyone.

JbTexas,

I am pretty sure CA is in the west and it does say western nationals, so all teams west of the Mississippi are invited. If I was to fishing, I would fish in the pond with the biggest and most fish.

Look at the teams, when the tournament is played in CA, 13 40 teams which equates out to a 2 day tournaments reducing field cost.
You do understand this is privately owned business designed to make a profit.

We as players choose whether to play or not, SSUSA chooses where they believe will provide the best tournament or product that will produce the maximum revenue. So I believe if Aurora was the location to do those 2 things, they would do so.

Oh I did forget it is much easier for you. So I hope you will be in Sacramento.

33 teams x $570.00 = $18,810.00

It is a private business unless they recently change to a Non-Profit organization.

JBTexas,

here some facts that you might have missed.

2012 Western Nationals in Aurora Co
89 Teamsto
14 Teams from OK,KS,MO,TX
15 Teams from CA

2015 Western National in Sacramento Ca
122 Teams
3 Teams from OK,KS,MO,TX
90 Teams from CA

Yeah I guess your right SSUSA should lose money to make you happy a why worry about the 90 teams from CA.

I have one question for you?

Were you on the roster on either of the Grants Posse teams

2014 55 Major or 2013 50 Major

I am a little confused your thread starts in regards to a 50 Major team, moving to 50 Major Plus and looking for a sponsor. Now it is in regards to you being rated as 55 Major Plus, wanting to be re-classed to a 55 Major. I would guess that SSUSA is going to look at your timeline on when you were first rated 55 Major Plus and evaluate your past 2 years playing experience. Hopefully you didn't just sit out for 2 years. Once again why would it matter to you unless you are trying to have more thank 3 Major Plus index players on one Major team. So are you trying to make a 55 Major team that could possibly have more than 3 guys from the Grant's Posse 55 Major team that won worlds in 2014 55 Major? If not your agenda doesn't seem to correspond to line of questioning.

If you personally want your player index to change, as stated you need to contact SSUSA yourself and discuss it with them.

Good Luck

I didn't say the 50's won, I said they finished 3rd which is an automatic bump up. Why does it really matter neither one of those teams ever stepped up and played Major Plus the following year and now 2-3 years later. It appears to me that you are trying put together a 50 team not quite sure if it going to be a Major or Major Plus. It really doesn't matter what the player index is if you are going to play Major Plus. It only matters if you are trying to play Major's and are trying to have more than 3 chips (ie. players with Major Plus Index). I would guess that it would be a Major team based on 3 things:

1. Your questions are in regards to 55 player rating index for 50's
2. Grant's Posse hasn't ever stepped up and played Major Plus
3. It has been 2-3 years since they were bumped to Major Plus

Patrick Jt,

so your saying that nobody on your new proposed Grant's Posse roster from SoCal, will be from any of the old Grant's Posse teams also from SoCal.

What a coincidence that you just so happened to pick the same name and you also stated that you might change the name and you are discussing 55 Major Plus players to be able to play 50 Major.

WOW

Patrick Jt,

Grants Posse finished 1st 2014 LV Worlds 55 Major and in 2013 they finished 3rd in LV Worlds in 50 Major. So how can you say you wasted your time in the past few years. It appears now you are trying to get 55 year old Major Plus player or players to be rated 50 Major.

Oh one more thing Grants Posse never once played in any Major Plus events in LV Worlds after being bumped up. How does a team win LV Worlds in 55 Major in 2014 and 3rd in 2013 50 Major and never show up the following year to play in there respected Major Plus Division.

Patrick Jt,

it is not as simple as you are making it be.

Example:

55 Major Plus Team plays in LV worlds and finish in the top 3, all players on that roster are now rated 50 Major Plus for the next 2 years. So now all they players are rated 50 and 55 Major Plus.

So my answer to the question would be no. Just because a player is a 55 Major Plus does not mean he should be automatically rated 50 Major since he is a 55 year old player.

The example is a fact from last year 2015 season.
