Hi-just wondering when the Vegas World finals will be posted for both the 55’s AAA and 60’s AAA. Great job on a well run Ed tournament!

Good morning one and all. I play for the Vancouver USA team and I would like to add some clarity to this discussion. When the tourney move was announced and it was slated as a three day tournament, some of us arranged for our days off from work and made our travel reservations based on a three day tournament. This would allow us to travel on Thursday to prepare for Friday. When the change was announced we realized that some of our players would not be in town until mid to late Thursday. As stated, we did not REFUSE to play- we just would not have enough players to take the field Thursday morning. With the allowed schedule changes this will allow us to field a team and play. We are very grateful for this. I feel that SSUSA has stated that we were refusing to play and that is just not the case. Yes, I know our manager can be a pain (just ask any of our players) and maybe he did not state this to SSUSA but NONE of our players refused to play. So we apologize to any teams that are impacted by this change and we look forward to seeing everyone in St. George.

Best Regards,

Jeff Bushor

I play with KDEflyers on the Charlie's Bar & Grill team and must say the fields (both complexes) were great to play on and the weather (other than the smoke) was great. Having to play the same team 3 times (not just three times, but THREE times in a row) is just not right when there are 7 teams in the bracket. We played Northern Idaho three of the four games we played, and not only are they a very good team but a great bunch of guys! I guess there was an error in the bracketing that should've been corrected and it would have eliminated this scheduling "quirk". Congrats to the Dead Sailors and to all the others who played in Lacey! By the way, nice bombs KDE!

Discussion: Outfielder/Infielder looking for a tournament 55+ team in the Portland Area.

I (55 years old) am looking to play tournaments with a 55 team from Portland. I play anywhere (except Catcher, pitcher, 1st) usually outfield. I have good speed, good power, can hit anywhere and I hit for average. I have good defensive skills. I know the game well and currently play Tuesday evenings in Portland. I'm a good teammate and love to play ball. Please email (rbushor49r@aol.com).
