Discussion: which do your prefer on a 5 game guarantee?

To those who need clarification, DBax is talking about the same director as I did previously in this chain.
FYI, for those who are interested ..... The Pinetop tourney and some of the Anthem tourney's are being done by someone else. Go to them, we will be.
Laters.

I'm good.
When I thought about it, you are right.
Then D got involved, so I figured I better "tap out".
Thanks for keeping things real.

At the advice of FOFO, please disregard my last post.
Hitter before me in the lineup, apparently you were just lucky to be in Las Vegas.

Full disclosure..... I love the Dudley product.
But, this last weekend in Vegas I watched as the hitter in front of me used the ADIDAS. This hitter usually hits for high average and will have a couple dingers a weekend.
He hit nearly .800 and had 8 dingers in 6 games on primarily half swings.
If you are looking for new gear, you may wanna try this bat.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Bruster55 trying to help some players find clubs. The DP team has some very good players and I really doubt that they all are going to retire from the field.
I wish you all good luck.

The Texas Bulls have my unlimited respect. This club played late into Saturday night and returned first thing Sunday morning to play four (4) more games.
Cannot wait to play them again, they are a class club.

There has got to be someone on this board that has broke a Dudley (hopefully I did not just jinx myself) that would be willing to send you the cap.
WHO HAS AN END CAP TO HELP HIM OUT ?!

Looking forward to your St. George tourney at the end of the month. No drama, great umpires (check out my post after last years event) and a super great complex.
Thanks for putting that on, I actually like it better than Vegas and way better than the Phx dude's.
See ya' in two weeks !

SSUSA Staff:
Thank you for your attention on this matter, which incidently occurred during a sanctioned qualifier organized by the SSUSA VP.

LB16:
I agree with you and tried to point that out yesterday, only to be ignored.

At the end of the day, we still failed to execute and score in the last inning allowed to play, the 6th.

Play by play for what occurred today:
As I walking to coach 1st at the start of the 6th inning, I passed the home plate umpire and he calls out "Top of 6, we are playing 7". Pretty self-explanatory.... 2 innings left.
The base umpire (tourney staff) walks in and relays that this inning is the open inning due to time expiring prior to the 1st pitch being tossed.
I disagreed and asked that what keeps the defense from dogging it to get into position in a situation like this. Just let the clock run out. (Full disclosure: This club did not do that.) The inning continued and we lost.
Botomline is.... we failed to execute in that last inning.
But looking at the example listed above, I think we have a point.
This makes two tourneys in a row that poor customer service took place from the tourney organizer or his immediate staff.

Discussion: Peoria, AZ Sidewinder's Tourney

I agree with that completely.
The "other guy" had quite a few 50s the weekend prior, maybe this will get the message out on which tourney is better.
Maybe, just maybe, the Sidewinder's (or some other highly organized softball club) will start putting together more professional tourneys around this great state.
Just a wild thought.

Discussion: Peoria, AZ Sidewinder's Tourney

Just wanted to point out that this last weekend's Sidewinder Tourney, that took place at Rio Vista Park in Peoria, AZ was quite possibly the best tourney I have taken part in over the past 18 months.
TOC was good, Hemet, CA nice and in St. George, UT the fields were tremendous but ........
This park is spectacular, the grounds were clean and fields in great shape. Water bottles were supplied to the players in the dugout, umpires professional and it was a great event. The fields were also cleaned up between games.
WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE BEST TOURNEY IN THIS AREA.
I will push that our team play in the event every year and start skipping the "other guy" the weekend prior.
I can honestly say to those teams who did not play, you missed out.
Thank you Sidewinder's.
