| Sept. 25, 2022 NYGNYY | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Poor planning in vegas Played 65 M at Arroyo Grande this past Wednesday and I needed some water. Asked my wife who was keeping our book and she didn’t have any it was still at the car. Our home plate umpire gave me his water. Just thought that was outstanding and It was very much appreciated. Later I gave him a bottle from the car. Thanks |

This is great news and thanks for helping and testing this new ball. DD said they bought out the allotment of these balls. On the Baden website it states coming soon. Do you have any timeline on when they’ll be available for purchase? They say China on them…..which most softballs do….those other manufacturers have been on the ship’s for years now. The Rock distribution chain just keeps moving the arrival date out every 3 months. Thanks again for sharing |

| July 2, 2022 NYGNYY | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Softballs Currently my understanding is that “SSUSA Softballs” are extremely hard to find and based upon the current market conditions no where to be found until at best late August which was June before that. In our league we follow exact SSUSA rules regarding softballs specific to 44/375—Stote. I’ve tried to explain all of the above regarding supply issue’s and yet there is a belief that we have to stay within our rules at least with the 44/375. Can anyone clearly explain the actual difference between a 44/375 and a44/400 in terms such as distance etc? We’ve tried a different 44/375 and in the heat it sucks. Btw our league is in AZ. How does SSUSA get around the actual rule issue. Last ? what ball is going to be used in the ISA Columbus IN tournament since that a little different then a SSUSA TOC. Thanks and I appreciate any help with the explanations |
| June 14, 2022 NYGNYY | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: 5th Run Today had a situation where the 5th run was on third, runner on first one out. Batter hits a single up the middle. Runner at 3rd scores the 5th run however the runner at first never runs and touches 2nd. Umpire calls a dead ball out on the runner never touching 2nd and calls the runner back to 3rd, no run scored. Now 2 outs and runners on 3rd and 1st. Right call? And if so where do I find it in our rules? Thanks |
