Feb. 13, 2018 superfonzie | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Today's "super" bats i will have to disagree on he 52/300 ball being safer for players and doing less damage when hit by it, cant post pics here but i assure you like MNBALL says they are very unpredictable on the infield, 2nd or 3rd bounce is anybodies guess, and i have the bruises (and pics) to prove it ... i got drilled in the leg (knee area) at 3B by a 52/300 ASA ball last sept in league and i still have discoloration and a very small lump on my leg, so i do not like the 52/300 ball for that reason ... no matter where you play or what league your in and whatever ball you are using you should protect yourself at all times, we seem to get complacent that we wont get hurt but eventually we will, .... as far as HOT bats go, well i don't think there seems to be a good alternative yet, but i do agree that even Senior bats should be tested .... i play league with/against guys that routinely brag that they know their bats are not legal as far as compression goes but use them anyway because they can and there are no rules for testing bats that are in place for any league I've probably EVER played in ... so unless you are playing in a big tourney and one of the last 4 teams standing no one cares to test bats, seems like an inconvenience to the directors.... just my .02$ |

Aug. 30, 2017 superfonzie | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Rocky Mountain Fields i touched base w Kenny Reynolds who basically runs all the tourneys in Co Spgs including the turfed "SKYVIEW COMPLEX" and he said that the weekend of AUG 9,10,11,12th would be avail next year and with 6 TURF fields and access to more fields in other parts of town he's sure he could make it work, so if you are serious about pursuing this idea he has told me to pass along his number Kenny Reynolds 719-229-6720 SOCO SPORTS Colorado Springs CO SUPERFONZIE |

April 5, 2016 superfonzie | Topic: Bats Discussion: ASA & USSSA BATS Wouldn't this cover any and all stamped USSSA bats .. 3.4(3) • APPROVED BATS All bats marked "1.21 BPF" (Bat Performance Factor) or less,... Thanks for your help Superfonzie |
April 5, 2016 superfonzie | Topic: Bats Discussion: ASA & USSSA BATS So no USSSA bats allowed anymore .. Even w the 2012 USSSA thumbprint which is clearly marked 1.20 BPF ..?? ... Not trying to be dumb or thick headed but it seems these should be within SSUSA guidelines ..?? Superfonzie |
April 5, 2016 superfonzie | Topic: Bats Discussion: ASA & USSSA BATS I may be wrong in saying this but last year I was using ASA and USSSA bats in SSUSA and never had any issues or problems ...this year and specifically this last weekend I was told by the director after my third game I could not use these bats unless they were on the approved bat list provided by SSUSA ... I ended up using a teammates senior bat and put my others away, Can I get some input and help or clarification on the bat rules please ... Thanks Superfonzie |
