Sept. 10, 2018 Gonedeep43 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Cheyenne Park Playing at Cheyenne back in the Mid 90's, we were abruptly entertained by a running Gun Battle that made it's way to our field. None of us were hurt, but that isn't something you sign up for when playing softball. North Vegas has always been a problem. Have they removed the light post from the middle of the one field?? That made playing the outfield an adventure. Sorry that anyone has to play at that complex. |

June 25, 2018 Gonedeep43 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Playing Different Class Teams When a Major Team has to play a AAA, the Major Team has 12 potential runs taken away and 5 runs given. So, if my math is correct, that's 17 runs that a AAA team benefits from. How about the Major team keep its 6 hrs if it has to allow the 5 runs? The times we played a Major plus, we played straight up. |

Feb. 12, 2018 Gonedeep43 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Vegas tournament 2/17-2/19 Bringiton, Yep, we are as of now. 50 Major, 3 teams. I love playing, but to drive 300 hundred miles to play against 2 teams? Seems like a lot to ask teams outside of Vegas to attend? |
Feb. 12, 2018 Gonedeep43 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Vegas tournament 2/17-2/19 Tic Toc!! It's almost Gametime. No list yet? This isn't starting out well for a new tournament. |
Feb. 9, 2018 Gonedeep43 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Vegas tournament 2/17-2/19 When is a Team list coming out and Brackets? I couldn't imagine very many teams per age group due to only two complexes being used? |
Oct. 3, 2017 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Any results yet for the 50 major? Interesting how none of the directors are chiming in? |
July 25, 2017 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Batter hitting the strike mat WTF?? I would suggest to this person to get some serious batting clinic help. I don't believe I've ever seen that before. |

April 24, 2017 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Out of the Batters Box. Exactly, no way can you avoid stepping out of the box if you decide to go after that short pitch that hits the front of the plate. And, like myself, and any player over 6'2" is forced to shorten their stride to adhere to this rule. For any of us who play or played USSSA, there isn't a box due to quick pitches. When the Utrip plays the Sin City Classic at BLD, every player would be called out if they applied SSUSA rules in regards to being out of the box. I agree that if a guy runs up on a ball and goes middle on a pitcher and while doing so steps out of the box, I say that constitutes as being an out for safety reasons. This rule truly needs to be reviewed. And really, I've only seen it enforced at BLD Vegas, no where else. |
April 23, 2017 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Out of the Batters Box. This rule needs to be reviewed. Saturday night at BLD Las Vegas, the umpire, who was desperate to be part of the action, called out of the batters box twice, the second time it affected the outcome of the game. My objection is, only at BLD Las Vegas have I ever seen this enforced due to the permanent lines due to the artificial grass. And, only one umpire was actually enforcing this rule. I understand if someone is going middle on the pitcher, this could be a safety precaution. But at any other dirt infield, this has never been enforced, how could it? The batters box has been kicked out by the 3rd inning. And, talking to other umpires that were observing the game, they remarked that they wouldn't have made that call. Umpires need to be consistent. |
Feb. 17, 2017 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: TOC 2017 This was my Teams second time at the TOC. This time out was much better. I participated in the Clinic on Wednesday and enjoyed the fellowship with guys from around the country and Alan Tanner was outstanding in lending a hand when players needed advice on hitting. The Allstar game was great, having that many people watch and cheer a game that really didn't mean anything in the end was awesome. The Tournament overall was much better than it was 2 years ago, the weather really set the tone for a great weekend of ball. I don't have anything negative to say about the overall experience. |

Nov. 2, 2016 Gonedeep43 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Bat Information Unfortunately, the senior Salvo isn't very good, and neither is the Easton Elder BSR. Easton has never put much effort into the Senior Bats. They take way too much time to break in and never get very hot. |
