Thanks for the response. I get the field thing. Just disappointed that I will be missing worlds this year.

Just out of curiosity, why were dates of the 40s Men moved up 3 weeks this year? I planned a vacation months in advance thinking that worlds would be in Oct again and come to find out it was moved.

Discussion: Price Went Up? Worlds

I just noticed that the price went up to $745 for Worlds. Is there something special that teams are going to get for that kind of money? That's twice a normal tourney fee. Why the high cost?

I personally like Arroyo Grande the best. Nice fields in a nice area. BLD seems to be in a not so nice area.

You're welcome. Loma Linda University Hospital is an incredible hospital with a reputation to match. The school is excellent and people come from all over the US to attend. Let me know if I can help any other way. I've lived in Redlands which is next door for 36 years and know the area well. I just don't stay in too many hotels around here. Haha But I see lots of people at the ones I mentioned and it's close to all the food and the University.

I think the Fairfield Inn or Residence Inn seem to be pretty busy and the are in an area by restaurants. I believe they are Harriman street.

I live close to Loma Linda and my wife works for the Children's Hospital. Let me look into it and I'll let you know. It's not a huge hotel area.

Can anyone confirm the fields that the 40 Major+ will be playing on for the Southwest Invite on April 22? Thanks in advance.

With that being said, The Southwest Invite, has always ran smoothly. I don't think we've ever had an issue with that tournament and like playing in it.

That's too bad nickname. My whole thing is this:
We pay $700 to play in this tourney. All we ask is that there are good fields to play on, umpires that are consistent and know the rules, and world tournament conditions. Last year we were in the championship of the 40s Major+ and they did not have lights ready. We had conflicting directions from umpires and director. Some of the fields were not good with the safety bag.

Am I reading them right? You have us at 3 different parks throughout the weekend? Really?

Can anyone from SSUSA answer why the 40s are so late this year? Oct 23-25 with no other divisions around?

Right on thanks. I have about 35 swings on it now and it feels like a 2x4. I'll go out and swing it until it feels better. I'll post the amount of swings it takes.

Centenarian grey with blue writing. Anybody have any info on this bat? Reviews? Tips to break in? Just got ours and it's unbelievably stiff out of the wrapper.

Discussion: SSUSA Needs to review bat rule

What division was this? What teams? Also every manager should carry a rule book just to be sure of rules. When I coached my daughter's fastpitch team it only took me once getting screwed on a rule, from then on I carried a rule book to every game. It's unfortunate what happened to your team because of a rule.

Discussion: TOC Rings

I noticed that it says winners of each division win rings. Do they give them out even if only 2 teams show up? For instance the 40s division had 2 teams. Did the winners actually get rings?

Can SSUSA confirm how many teams are playing in the 40s Major+ division and also if games start on Friday or Saturday? Thanks

Please change it to 1-1. The 40s Major+ took forever to get through games and they all started running way behind. The game should get to 7 innings every time, but with 0-0 it doesn't.

Twintower: I swing a Demarini The One 30oz. endloaded and it has lasted me a pretty decent time. 4/5 tournaments. Before that other senior bats were breaking in 25-50 swings. The key is to not use it for BP sessions. I played with your brother last year with Monsta in 40s.
