I play all out field positions and 3rd base. I live in MN but will obviously travel. I have a SSUSA card that has me as a Major player so I am good to go.

Sounds like this pitcher is a douche bag. That means he was a douche bag when he was young and he is obviously a douche bag in his later years.
That doesn't say much for his teammates who allow him to act like that.

Adiktiv6,

I have had lots of people ask about our buy in program. The best way is to locate your local Easton Rep in your state and find out from him/her if that particular program is available.
If it is then you will be able to buy as many Senior/ASA/USSSA bats as you wish at a discounted price along with everything else that Easton sells. Here in MN, our 50 major team was one of only 6 teams in the state to participate in the buy in program.
I would think that would change a bit state to state.
Good luck.

The Easton Elder I swung had close to 1,000 cuts and was insane. That's why our 50 major team jumped at the chance to do a buy in with Easton. We feel very happy about buying our bats at $140.00 a piece and we also get significant discount on all ASA / USSSA bats and bags, hats, shirts etc.
For me I put the Easton Elder ahead of my Boombah Boss, Worth Legit, Monsta Fossil, Reebok Barrage and Mele, and my new Demarini The One EL, the Combat Wanted Full Load is my second best bat. I had a chance to hit the TPS Hyper Z for about 10 cuts and the bat had roughly 75 swings on it and I was impressed with that bat but I was told that the bat didn't see 150 cuts. For us, we can swing what we want because our deal is in fact a buy in program and that's why I have all these other senior bats.

Alan,

Have you had a chance to swing any of these new second batch bats yet ? When you do please post your findings.

Discussion: Boombah Boss

I had a chance to put about 75 swings on my new Boss and its the real deal. Great pop and pretty true to weight with a slight endload. Our team has done a buy in with Easton and we will be swinging the new Easton Elder, which at this point are all balanced models. The Easton Elder was the best SR bat that I had a chance to hit since the original Boombah Cannon. Some guys have hit it a lot more than me and they posted some reviews on the Softball Fans web site in the senior softball forum.

Discussion: GSC Bat - Status

This company has made false promises for years. I have moved on after losing my hard earned cash on one of their bats and I wouldn't hold my breath on anything they have to say. I held my breath for over 3 years.

Discussion: Playing after knee replacement?

Lemons,
I had both of my knees replaced with partial replacements on 11/1/10 so I just celebrated my 3rd year with the new knees. I had so many knee operations from baseball and hockey that I had no choice but to do the partial replacements. I play pick up hockey 3 times per week and I can skate better than ever because I am gliding and not running. I now have played 3rd base for the 3rd year instead of playing my normal left center. I do however still get out to the outfield, I can still run very well and I have only suffered very mild pain after a long weekend of ball.
I turn 50 in 2014 and will be playing with The MN Merchants 50 Major team - playing left center and looking forward to finally being able to hit the senior bats.
PS - The entire key to being ready to go after a partial/full knee replacement is how you rehab. Do it once and do it right and you will see the benefits of this particular surgery. Good luck.

Discussion: GSC~~~Where Are You?

I have washed my hands so long ago with GSC that I will be a legal 50 + player in 2014 and looking forward to playing in all SSUSA sanctioned events. I had been waiting over 2 years to get a bat back that broke in under 25 swings and I had been getting nothing but lip service for well over those 2 years, before I asked to be removed from their list of people who have bats coming to them. So its no surprise to see they still do not have a senior bat in production.
Obviously I wish them well and I hope they do have a product out by the time I'm 55 , but I am not holding my breath.
