Just because we are over 50 men and I am 51, does not mean we are willing to give up yet, I have been inspired by the guys 55, 60,65 , still playing softball. I am also willing to be part of team that has more than 12 or more players, I understand that sometimes more is better, ie injuries, vacations etc. thank you.

March 5, 2014 boogpow44	Topic: Bats Discussion: Asa bats Our league has switched from senior allowed 1.21 bats to Asa bats only in order to level playing field. Any input on the hottest Asa only bats out there. Do not care about durability. We use the 52 core 300compression Dudley hycon.

Dec. 26, 2013 boogpow44	Topic: Tournaments Discussion: 2014 SSUSA Tournaments Car quest, check out issa softball website, there are a couple of tournaments in Virginia and eastern shore of Maryland, ocean city. Hopefully Dover and Smyrna Delaware will host a senior tournament this year.
Dec. 17, 2013 boogpow44	Topic: Bats Discussion: Time to eliminate senior bats This is why we have different divisions ie aa, aaa, major. The very last thing I want to see playing ball in our recreation league is guys hitting the ball 150 feet. Most of the ball players will never see the fence. Senior bats give the average ball player a more enjoyable experience. I love when these guys I play with so it's only a game, have fun, etc, then I see them dive for balls, run like heck around the bases, swing from their shoes like the "babe" himself. It's all part of the senior softball experience.
Dec. 15, 2013 boogpow44	Topic: Bats Discussion: Time to eliminate senior bats Great discussion gents, here in central Delaware league we use 52-300 balls and I believe there were about 10 balls hit out all season. We have some decent hitters in this league. We also have a lot of rec players, if it were not for senior bats could barely get the ball out of the infield. We play on the same field that the young guys do fences are 305. If you hit one out that is a pretty good stroke. The young guys, who are big and strong still shave the guts out of their bats unless there are checked, most of the time they are not. Us seniors need a little help now and then.
Dec. 12, 2013 boogpow44	Topic: Tournaments Discussion: 2014 SSUSA Tournaments Excellent point DCPete, I live about 30 miles from Smyrna de and they have nice parks there and Dover which is about 7 miles away. There are players that would like to play in a couple of tournaments a year. Some teams just can't afford to travel and play ball even though they would like to do so.

Nov. 5, 2013 boogpow44	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Senior softball camp Altamonte Springs Fla. i attended softball magazines spring training in cocoa beach and had a great time last year, couldnt wait to sign up for 2014. i never hit so many softballs in my life. combat and worth had their senior bats down there. you might want to check them out.
