Discussion: Team 1 Sports Spring Camp

Just returned home worn out, but safe from Alan's spring camp. Of the four I have attended in the past this I believe was the most informative and enjoyable of them all. Best thing as always is that Alan creates a family friendly,Christian atmosphere. There where 30+ campers attending, but Alan had enough knowledgeable staff to give everyone ALL the time required to help you with hitting, fielding and even the mental aspect of the game. Expert advice in finding the right bat for your needs. From Bobby O'Brien(no dumb jock here folks)to Davey Reed,Brad,Carlos and Roger their knowledge and on field talent is amazing. From the enter level player to the most accomplished you left a better player than when you arrived. The Saturday night banquet meal and venue located by the ocean shore is one more enjoyable evening. Been to several different camps, but this in my opinion is the Best Bang for your buck.

Been to both, Team 1 Sports camp is more bang for your buck. Great instruction by professional instructors. They spend all the time you need to help you. Most important it is family friendly.

Several of our local teammates are getting excited about coming down already. Looking forward to hear what workout and nutritional tips Bobby and the gang have for us this year. It's always something helpful for us old guys to play better and enjoy it more with a lot less pains.

Discussion: Question

I care who he is because he is very much disrespecting my uncle who like many others young people died in WW11 so he could apply his craft in freedom!!!

The Thursday morning scrimmage game is one more fun softball game. Those guys have no mercy on each other cutting each down. Hilarious!!!

Have attended three of Alan's camp and several others in the area over the past years. Alan's camp of course has x pro guys that give excellent help on hitting and fielding AS some others do also. What puts Alan's camp I've found ahead of everybody else is his seminars on health, nutrition and strength training by some master degree level staff. All while being conducted in a family and Christian encouraging atmosphere. Looking forward to it yet again.
P.S. Please keep Alan in your daily prayers as he endures a difficult time, I sure am.

Discussion: Lighter bat weight

Good experience with the new 25oz. Melee. Seems to me the swing weight is marginal difference from my 26oz. But have read several articles stating these senior bats need bat speed to take advantage of their design. So us older guys need lighter bats. Balls still seem to carry off the 25oz. bat.

Discussion: My son Tim

Morning Alan, over the past several years of doing business and being on the field with you I have grown to love and respect you as a person and brother in Christ. Now you join me in a fraternity that I wish we neither of us belonged, that of having lost a child. Would love to offer encouragement that time helps, but I have found that the sadness never goes away.

With todays senior bats being so hot right out of the wrapper, just how much performance does shaving add? Is it worth the trouble and effort?

Yep, three pool games, then dbl. elimination. At our age it gives the manger one more game to see whose on and whose not that weekend.

Discussion: Not the way to end an open inning

I take it one cannot have two courtesy runners in the same inning? Or was it that the courtesy runner had already ran for someone else that inning?
