The ABCs of International Softball
What is the Senior Softball-USA International Tour?
The Senior Softball-USA International Tours give senior players of all ages and abilities the opportunity to play softball and meet softball players in other countries. Senior Softball-USA tours offer all of the sightseeing and shopping opportunities of other tours, but the big difference is that you get to know the people of the other countries and their cultures by playing ball with them and celebrating our common love of the sport after the games in a variety of get-togethers, such as barbeques, folk dance and music.
How long has Senior Softball-USA been doing tours and where have they been?
2006 will mark the 19th year that Senior Softball-USA has taken players and their families on tour to countries that include England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Germany, Austria, Luxenbourg, New Zealand, Australia, Tasmania, Fiji, Japan and Hawaii.
Who can go?
Players over 50 years of age of ALL abilities, as well as their wives, friends and family (children must be 18 or older). Players come from every state - including Alaska and Hawaii. Simply call our office at (916) 326-5303 and let us know that you are interested.
Who do we play?
USA Teams will play each other during the trip and will play teams from other countries. Remember, you do not have to be a Major Division All-Star to go on our tours.
Will we have a chance to sightsee and shop?
Definitely!!!! The International Tours are designed to introduce you to the high points of the cities and countries we visit - and allow you time to explore exotic new places.
How many games will we play?
The number of games varies; we blend our schedule to include several games between the USA teams, as well as exhibition games against foreign teams. In many cases, we are able to set up tournaments with foreign teams, as well. Previous International Tournaments include the annual All Japan International Softball Championships, the bi-annual Pacific Rim Championships in New Zealand, the Irish-American Softball Championships, the Scottish-American Softball Classic and the European Senior Softball Championships.

What do I need to do to join an International Tour?
Players and families need valid passports, a love of softball and an adventuresome spirit. We take care of the rest.

Bat policy
Senior Softball-USA allows use of bats meeting the 1.20 bpf, including the Miken II, Easton Synergy and all other bats meeting the 1.20 bpf
